Kraken - manipulate and visualise geological and reservoir data

kraken streamlines gui

The single tool for integrating, manipulating and visualizing all of your geology and reservoir engineering data sets.

Integrate your data importing and exporting from multiple sources into a single environment

Kraken is designed specifically as a data integration environment for geology and reservoir engineering tools. It can handle almost any kind of geology and reservoir data, including structured, unstructured and reservoir grid, with scalar and vector variables associated to cell centers, faces, edges or nodes. With its ability to maximize CPU and memory performance, Kraken is the ideal environment for those who need to share data among several different tools within the basin/reservoir modeling process.sol7img4-sm

Manipulate data on-the-fly through high-level, 100% programmable user routines, directly on your GUI, with no need for compiling and linking.

The Kraken data kernel can be fully exported to Python, a high-level, 100-percent programmable API that allows users to create their own data manipulation processes directly on the GUI, without the need of any development environment, compilation process, or linking. Users can create, modify, delete and/or apply processes on-the-fly in Kraken.

Visualize grid and well data in a single environment, with integrated and hierarchically organized 3D views and 2D plots.

The ability of Kraken to handle grid and well data simultaneously in a single environment makes an engineer's work much easier. Well information is directly associated with its position in the field; mapping from grid data to the well path enables direct comparisons of field and well data. Kraken makes it intuitive to work with this complex information by organizing it in a hierarchical tree.

Compare simulated and measured data from multiple jobs on multiple windows with fully independent view properties.

Kraken is able to read, display and compare multiple types of simulated and measured data. This flexibility, important in matching histories, is provided through multiple visualization windows, each with independent view properties.flnhigh-sm

Tap into reservoir-specific processes, such as automated boundary and fault extraction based on geometry, and interpret immediately the geometry details of your whole grid.

Reservoir grids can be displayed as specific types of structured grids, where the interfaces to adjacent elements do not necessarily share the same nodes, edges and faces. This allows the grids to have internal topological disconnections between adjacent elements, which is one of the ways to geometrically represent geological faults.

Kraken allows users to determine which connections between adjacent elements must be used in reservoir grids. Users can highlight only the boundaries of the reservoir, without losing the geological fault. This provides a visualization of the entire reservoir with important geometrical features.

Animate with keyframes across time and space, and create videos from your own data.

Reservoir data is always transient, so it is best displayed as animated images. Kraken allows you to create animations that better display your data and videos to share your visualizations with others.
